The Hotel is European style with 8 private guest rooms upstairs with private restrooms and bath's across the hall.
Our Rooms, click on a room to reserve; Check in/out is 4:00 pm & 11:00. Unless prior arrangements are made.  Please note we have stairs and all the rooms are on the 2nd floor.

Seven is a bright spacious corner room with two very comfortable twin beds and a view to the south and west of cliffs across river.

Classy and comfortable this room with its antique queen bed and bright light is west facing and a nice place to see the sun set.

Ten is the classy comfortable corner room with a four poster queen bed facing west, a nice place to gaze at the southern cliffs above the river.

The History of the Lyle

Please note that reservations must be cancelled within 72 hours of scheduled check in to receive refund. Anytime after will be rescheduled. Well behaved dogs are welcome.  

A historic railroad hotel built in 1905, The Lyle Hotel, was instrumental in the construction of the SP & S Railway and developing industrial commerce and tourism in the Columbia River Gorge. Hosting industrialists, managers, workers and tourists the hotel has always been a gathering place of community and visitors. Lyle, Washington with its ferry boat landing and railway moving wool, wheat and other exports to Portland bustled with business and tourism from 1905 through the early 1970’s when dam building was completed. Lyle in 1941 even had its very own airport.
